About Frank E. Campbell

When Frank E. Campbell founded the Frank E. Campbell Burial and Cremation Company in 1898, he changed the way people thought about funeral service. At the time, most funerals were conducted in private homes, but New York was becoming a city of apartment dwellers and they no longer had room to host such large events.

He created an atmosphere of peace and beauty with soft lighting, quality furniture, tapestries, potted palms and art objects.

In Frank E. Campbell's words; "To create a service so sublimely beautiful, in an atmosphere of such complete harmony as to alleviate the sorrow of parting, is to render a service to mankind."

Today Frank E. Campbell is one of the most respected and recognized funeral homes because of its' stellar reputation in dignity care for both the deceased and their families and for being of service to many celebrity clients that include screen icons and heads-of-state.
